Baron Financial Group Honored at SCARC Foundation Gala

A 60-second read by the Baron Team:  Baron Financial Group is proud to have been honored at the SCARC (Sussex County Arc) Foundation Honors Awards Gala, which took place on Wednesday, March 30th at Perona Farms in Andover, NJ.  The SCARC Foundation’s mission is to raise funds that will support the services that SCARC, Inc. and SCARC Guardianship Services, Inc provides to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Victor Cannillo, Founder and Principal Partner at Baron Financial Group, attended the event with members of the Baron Team, and spoke about Baron’s relationship with SCARC and his personal relationship with a family member that inspired his involvement with the special needs community:

“I don’t have to tell you - SCARC is a great organization, run by people who care.

I went to the SCARC website and the main thing I took away were the pictures of the happy people.  And their vision of a community of respect, equality, and dignity for people of all abilities.  That resonated with me.  Isn’t that what everyone wants?

My brother-in-law Vinny is a special needs resident in a Spectrum for Living facility.  He is more like a brother to me, and I would do anything for him.  It is because of Vinny that I became active in the special needs community and committed to assisting those families plan for their financial needs.

We have been involved with SCARC for the last 5 years.  And we have met some outstanding people - the people who work here, the board and the staff, the clients, and their families – all with the common goal of doing what’s right.  I would be remiss if I didn’t personally recognize Karen Newburgh, Richard Lecher, Sherry Hough, and Chris Hemmer and their team for all their hard work and commitment. 

Like SCARC, at Baron Financial Group, we believe we have a responsibility to help members in our community that are experiencing challenges.

We look forward to being a proud SCARC supporter for many years to come.  We will always do our small part to support SCARC’s mission.
