James is an Associate Financial Planner with Baron Financial Group and a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).
James performs research and assists the advisors with the creation and updating of financial plans for clients. In addition, he focuses his time on researching and implementing technological advances within the field of financial planning, striving to offer quality services to their clients.
Growing up in a rather large family of twelve children, James understands what it takes to work on a team and to help others. James chose Baron because “I have a passion for helping others and, as fiduciaries, Baron Financial Group has a responsibility to put the clients’ interests above their own.”
James is a graduate of William Paterson University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Cotsakos College of Business Financial Planner Program, one of thirty-five top schools in the country for Financial Planners, according to a 2014 article in Financial Planning Magazine. During his time at WPU, James took the lead role of community outreach within the student chapter of the Financial Planning Association. This allowed him to visit high schools to educate students about Financial Planning.
James is preparing for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) exam. The CFP® certification identifies professionals who have met the high standards of competency and ethics established and enforced by the CFP® Board. CFP® professionals are required to act in their clients’ best interests and have met rigorous professional standards.
In his spare time, James is devoted to volunteering his time with his local youth group. He also enjoys spending time with his wife Maria, their son and their many siblings, and playing the guitar. James is fluent in Spanish.
